As recently advised, the timings for training sessions this season will be as follows:

1st X1 v Tiddington 2nd X1 (H):
Our 1st X1 made a most impressive start to the 2024 season posting a huge total of 318 for 1 in their 50 overs, with Marcus Goodchild (151 n.o.) and Leigh Tomlinson (111 n.o.) scoring unbeaten centuries.
Tiddington were dismissed for 170 in 43 overs, with Shaam Sarwar the pick of our bowlers with 5 for 11 in just 6 overs.

2nd X1 v Chalgrove 1st X1 (A):
Our ‘Dream Team’ also made a great start by beating Chalgrove by 64 runs.
Despite recording a modest total of 131 in 39 overs, their opponents were dismissed for just 67 runs in 30 overs, with Harry Lazaruk and Mark Claridge grabbing 3 wickets each.

3rd X1 v Dinton 3rd X1 (A):
Despite losing their first ever game by eight wickets, against Dinton, the inaugural match for our new 3rd X1 provided a useful introduction to senior league cricket for the youngsters in the team…..onwards and upwards!

Sunday 12th May:
Friendly vs The Kites
The ‘friendly’ against the touring side, The Kites, also provided useful experience for several of our youngsters still new to playing senior cricket.
The Kites scored 230 in their 35 overs and Chearsley made a creditable 184 in reply, with Vinnie Connolly top scoring with 78 not out.

Wednesday 15th May:
Under 9 vs MP Sports Academy (H)
The Under 9’s lost narrowly to MP Sports Academy, scoring 226 for 7 against their opponents total of 232.

Womens’ Softball Cricket:
The season finally got underway last Friday.
.....c’mon gals, do come up and enjoy a very pleasant Friday evening during these summer months - all ages (over 16 years) and abilities are encouraged to participate.
Karaoke Night:
A great party took place up at the pavilion last Saturday night.
Regular music-based Saturday evenings are planned during the season…..watch this space
